In collaboration with a professor and six of my fellow students, I helped create a multifaceted woodcut mural print. Our group installed these pieces at Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, and Washington State University. We started the process by brainstorming and collaborating on an idea to showcase at all three universities while representing the PNW. We wanted to show the transition of artists ideas coming to fruition. We did this by having origami animals bursting through a brick wall and becoming majestic animals frolicking in the hill known throughout the pacific northwest. We sketched the entire mural on seven 8'x4' wood boards, carved them by hand, and then printed each board in two pieces. We then created our own wheat paste and installed our creation at the PNW Printmaking Alliance 2018 Conference.
